At Christwalk, we have several intercessory prayer groups that meet throughout the week. Pastors Chip and Donna Woodall directly give the prayer needs and focus to the intercessors on a weekly basis. Consider sending us your prayer request by using our prayer request link. (at the bottom of this page)

We believe that specific strongholds need to be torn down to release the plentiful harvest of souls in the areas God assigns to Christwalk International Ministries. We also believe the way to overthrow these strongholds is through praying the Word of God through a prayer strategy that we have developed.

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.2 Corinthians 10:4 AMPC

Using this website, we would like to share the prayer strategy we teach. Study and learn how to apply the (8) Steps for your own Individual Prayer Strategy. Take a few minutes and check it out!

1. Be Humble and Submit to God

Humility and Submission will be clear when you walk in obedience to the Lord in every area of your life.

Submission is not easy and we cannot effectively “resist” the devil without humility.

Humility and submission must come first for any prayer strategy to work in your life.

2. Prayer and Fasting

Jesus prayed for forty days and nights (Matthew 4:2) . . . so He was prayed up!

However, individual confrontations with the devil will continue to overwhelm many believers causing them to bottom out, if they do not pray and fast (at times).

Consider these books on fasting:

Fasting Volume I- The Private Discipline That Brings Public Reward by Jentezen Franklin
Fasting Volume II- Opening A Door To God’s Promised by Jentezen Franklin

3. Endurance and Armor Protection

Jesus persevered. He did not give up nor did He back down through forty days and nights of prayer and the ensuing battle with the devil. Never give up!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

The way to endure is to be dressed daily in the Armor of God:

Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. [Isa. 52:7.] Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people). Ephesians 6:13-18 AMPC

4. Speak The Word of God and Speak It With Authority

We must be close to God and His word to truly be effective in prayer. It is called intimacy in prayer.

The intimacy leads you to a level of certainty, so you will often command the Word of God in your prayer time as you think about what the enemy is doing to come against you and others you pray for.

As prayer warriors, we must “Command Authority” through His Word:

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Matthew 4:10

The Lord commands him to leave! Try this in your prayer time in Jesus Name.

5. Plead the Blood of Jesus

Pleading the Blood through the Word: To overcome Satan, testify personally what the word says that the blood does for you....make it personal for you!

Pleading the blood daily through the Word of God and the word of our testimony transfers the blood from the finished work on the cross and applies it to our life to give us protection and all legal rights to his power and authority. But then and only then does the blood do what it says it does for us concerning protection against the enemy and legal rights.

Pleading the Blood Scriptures:

Begin to use these verses daily to plead the blood of Jesus through prayer...

Blood Verse #1:

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses) Ephesians 1:7a AMPC

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus I am redeemed out of the hand of the enemy!”

Blood Verse #2:

Yet, look at you now! Everything is new! Although you were once distant and far away from God, now you have been brought delightfully close to him through the sacred blood of Jesus—you have actually been united to Christ! Ephesians 2:13 TPT

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus I have been brought close to him!” This is what the word plead means: up-close and personal, summoned to come by your side and help you!

Blood Verse #3:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 NIV

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus, I am continually cleansed from all sin...a continuing process!”

Blood Verse #4:

Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. Romans 5:9 AMPC

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus I am justified...made righteous, just as if I had never sinned!”

Blood Verse #5:

Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city's] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God]. Hebrews 13:12 AMPC

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus I am sanctified, set apart from the enemy and made Holy by God and to God!”

Blood Verse #6:

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 AMPC

...say this out loud, “through the blood of Jesus my body is a Holy Temple for the Holy Spirit, so my body no longer belongs to me.”

”This Blood” is a powerful song you can add to worship to as you pray these blood scriptures.

The Phases of Growth Through Pleading the Blood:

  • Receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the beginning of pleading the blood.
  • Placing value on Jesus is the advancement of pleading the blood.
  • Counting on Jesus as if never absent is the fulfillment (completing in all parts) of pleading the blood.

6. Ask for an Angel

Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. Matthew 4:11

God will send angels “upon your request.”

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?  Hebrews 1:14

Use this as part of your prayer strategy.

7. Get Full of the Holy Spirit

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water.

At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. Matthew 3:16

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert. Luke 4:1

Jesus was full of the spirit and did not battle the devil in His own power and strength. He relied upon the power of the Holy Spirit.

8. Pray With Your Praise Weapons

The devil tempted Jesus with authority, power and influence hoping the Lord would just worship him.

"All this I will give you", he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” Matthew 4:9-10

One way to defeat the enemy through prayer is to worship the Lord with different praise weapons found in the scripture:Look for these examples in your bible and add them to your prayer strategy using your favorite worship songs!

  • Clapping Your Hands
  • Prayer Walking With Beats On
  • Lifting Your Holy Hands
  • Shouting to the Lord With Your Voice
  • Dance Before the Lord Like David
