Railroad Spike Peg in Weathered Wood

As I begin this first blog for Christwalk, I believe the Lord would have me share with you the reason it will be called A Sure Peg. In Ezra 9:8 the following verse is very important for our ministry. It says, “And now for a little while, grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.”

Our family has been called to nail a “sure” peg in the cornerstone of Jesus Christ. As we do this here in the mountains, the way we do church will change. The peg means a secure hold in the church. In other words, our eyes will be enlightened in such a way, revival is going to take place in the Body of Christ. This will change the way we worship, pray and read the Bible. We will no longer read the Bible like a newspaper! We will no longer remain silent during prayer and worship. We will begin to truly study the Word and become established in it because of His power and presence. The revival will come through pockets of people…mainly young people…who are willing to be established in His Holy Word and pray with fervency.

The way church “looks” will be changed through this Sure Peg. Many who have never attended church and some who have left hurt will come back. Why? Because this change will allow them to feel okay to “come as they are.” Religious attitudes will dissolve because of the power of His love. The power of his love will save many. The power of his love will restore many. The power of his love will be all we need. 1 John 4:11 says, “Dear friends, because God loves us so much, we should show love to one another.” The redeeming love of Jesus will become the theme of this Remnant Movement. s

God loves America my friends! And, while the enemy is creating division and strife and causing bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness, the church needs to be established on nothing but the Word. In Christ we have authority, we need to regain surrendered ground. We must nail a Sure Peg in the ground; one that becomes a secure hold for everyone during troubled times.

It is possible to have a Holy Spirit twinkle in your eyes and be a part of this remnant that seeks revival in America. Join me and let’s nail a Sure Peg in the Cornerstone of Jesus Christ. The way we do church as usual is about to change!
